80% Superwash Bluefaced Leicester (BFL), 20% silk 16/2 Nm

Weaving yarn containing BFL wool and mulberry silk.

BFL sheep have curly, fine, lustrous wool which is one of the softest of the UK. Yarn is extremely beautiful and soft, with a delicate sheen. Naturally breathable. Silk also strengthens the yarn and gives it a subtle gloss. Bluefaced Leicester wool is British and comes from small farms all over the UK, it is purchased through the British Wool Marketing. These yarns have been superwash treated in the UK to the highest environmental standards possible. This makes the yarn machine washable, without felting or shrinkage. 100% natural and renewable - Every year sheep produce a new fleece. Wool is utterly renewable fibre. 100% biodegradable - Yarn will naturally decompose in soil in a matter of years, slowly releasing valuable nutrients back into the earth.

The yarn is ready to dye in skeins. Suitable for dyeing with acid and reactive dyes.
