We are thrilled to introduce weaving yarn containing merino wool, yak and mulberry silk. This fabulous natural yarn is extremely fine and soft. Unique in the yarn world. Our blend has all of the best qualities of merino wool and yak with the gorgeous sheen and drape of silk. We love the way these three fibers blend together to make a very special luxury yarn. Silk adds durability and gloss. The natural hue of yak gives the yarn a light grey-brown colour. The yarn is extremely soft, luxurious and very pleasant to the touch. Yak fiber place in the same class of the luxury fibers such as cashmere, guanaco, vicuna and quiviut. Each yak produces about 100g of down fibre per year.
The yarn is ready to dye in skeins. Suitable for dyeing with acid and reactive dyes.
